Maple wing earrings

These maple wings are from the Crimson King Japanese maple tree in my garden.  These copper electropated  maple seeds are gathered from my garden, prepped and plated, patina-ed and sealed in a process that takes days in my studio on Whidbey Island in Washington State. The seeds are still inside the pure copper plating; the crimson patina reflects the color of the seeds within.
